Kids In A New Groove’s mission is to provide Central Texas youth in foster care with a committed one-on-one mentoring relationship through free, weekly, private music instruction. By creating a consistent and nurturing environment, they empower youth in foster care to transform their futures through music mentorship.

- KING currently serves over 150 youths in Hays, Travis, and Williamson Counties
- Since the pandemic, all music lessons are taking place virtually.
- Youth can pick any instrument they are interested in, including voice and music production. KING provides the instruments and all lesson materials.
- 100% of eligible KING high school seniors have graduated high school compared to the national average of less than 50% for youth in foster care.
